Full House reunion for Super Bowl commercial; Oikos yogurt lures Bob Saget, Dave Coulier to join John Stamos

Which popular sitcom cast from the late 1980s and early 1990s isn’t reuniting for a Super Bowl commercial on this Groundhog Day?!

That’s a fairer question, now that we know that the three father figures of ABC’s Full House — Bob Saget, John Stamos and Dave Coulier — have reunited to sell us on Oikos yogurt in a Super Bowl spot to debut Feb. 2, 2014. We also know that Jerry Seinfeld and Jason Alexander are going to surprise us with a mini-Seinfeld reunion. Well, we can see that it happened, and we have an alternate magical jingle to learn for Oikos, the Greek yogurt for which Stamos already serves as brand spokesman.

Somehow, that’s probably not going to be the jingle you hear during the Super Bowl. But we can dream. Or at least one of you Yahoo!’s can make a GIF or a Vine or something out of this…

So, Full House and Seinfeld cast reunions for Super Bowl Sunday. SNL just teased us with re-enactments over the weekend spoofing Family Matters and Blossom, as well. And Adam Scott and Paul Rudd are re-enacting Bosom Buddies. What more could we ask for in this nostalgia-filled 2014??? We’re not getting a real Friends reunion, but could we wish-fulfill Perfect Strangers, perchance?

In the meantime: Oikos set up a “bromance” page online to see more of Stamos, Saget and Coulier goofing around. Bromance means no girls allowed. Oh well. They left the girls in San Francisco…. No room in here for D.J., Stephanie, Michelle, Becky nor even Kimmy Gibbler. Sorry, Olsen twins, Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, Lori Loughlin and Andrea Barber. This yogurt party is just for Danny Tanner, Joey Gladstone and their Greek rock god of morning television, Jesse Katsopolis.
