MTV2 orders “Jobs That Don’t Suck,” series hosted by Andrew Schulz

MTV2 announced a new addition to its slate of comedian-fronted series, ordering up Jobs That Don’t Suck hosted by Andrew Schulz.

The cable network made the announcement Friday at the TV Critics Association annual panel roundup in Pasadena, Calif.

It’ll premiere in April following the fourth-season debut of MTV’s popular Guy Code.

More about Jobs That Don’t Suck — Schulz will be joined by Eddie Huang (Vice’s “Fresh Off The Boat”) and Nessa (MTV’s “Girl Code,”), as the trio take a more realistic look at how people make it in America than we saw in HBO’s recent series How To Make It In America. It’ll air in half-hour installments.

Jobs That Don’t Suck joins these other returning MTV2 programs fronted by or featuring comedians:

“Ain’t That America with Lil Duval” (returns Jan. 15 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT): MTV2’s highest-rated original series of all-time (tops in its time slot among viewers younger than 35). Lil Duval and his friends explore American cultural traditions, via viral videos.

“Charlamagne and Friends” (returns Jan. 15 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT): Hosted by “Guy Code” and “Guy Court” star Charlamagne tha God, moderating discussions with artists, athletes and comedians on the news of the week.

“Guy Code” (returns April 2014)

Untitled Major League Baseball Series (premieres April 2014): This new series will launch a multi-year programming partnership between MTV and the MLB, with the weekly show moving beyond game analysis, stats and highlights to showcase MLB athletes off the field, spotlighting the stars’ personalities and passions through a series of player interviews and features, in addition to celebrity appearances. The series will be shot in New York City from inside the MLB Fan Cave, MLB’s first-of-its-kind space that mixes baseball with music, pop culture, media, interactive technology and art.

“Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out” (returns summer 2014): Improv comedy and freestyle rap battles. The most recent season featured appearances from Mariah Carey and Kevin Hart, as well as musical performances from Mac Miller, A$AP Rocky, Macklemore, MGK and more.
