Bill Cosby’s extended interview with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show

If you saw Bill Cosby on last night’s The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, then you heard them reminisce about the very recent past — earlier this month, Cos performed on the Stand-Up For Heroes benefit Stewart hosted for Wounded Warriors during the New York Comedy Festival.

Cosby being Cosby, he gave Stewart the business for earning cheap laughs through profanity.

But this led back several decades to Cosby seeing Lenny Bruce in action in New York City, and the “stupid” audiences who would pay to see Bruce, only to walk out on him due to his language.

If you missed all of this, don’t worry. It’s all here online. Plus bonus extended interview coverage that didn’t air on Comedy Central. Roll the clips!

Part two of their discussion (online only!), which includes Cos asking Stewart if Comedy Central airs his Jell-O commercials:

Now that we’ve gotten all of that out of the way, we’ve earned ourselves a treat. Here Jon Stewart talks about going to NYC to pursue comedy because Cosby and Woody ALlen performed at The Bitter End on Bleecker Street. Were the crowds as bad then as they can be today? Cosby says they used to throw out all the bad drunks, because the venues were located underneath apartments with actual tenants who wouldn’t put up with a fuss. Including Cosby himself! He talks about his apartment around the corner from the Gaslight on MacDougal Street. And a jealous ventriloquist!? ROLL THE CLIP.

Bill Cosby: Far From Finished premieres Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, on Comedy Central.
