Newark Mayor Cory Booker leaves New Jersey to do stand-up comedy in Philadelphia

Cory Booker, mayor of Newark, N.J., and Democratic U.S. Senate candidate, left the Garden State on Wednesday night to practice his stand-up stump speech in Philadelphia. Booker did the right things beforehand, telling his 1.4 million Twitter followers @CoryBooker, “Politicians trying 2B funny.
