Watch “Never Before, Never Again: Behind the scenes of ASSSSCAT” at the UCB Theatre

Just in time for the 15th annual Del Close Marathon, here’s an inside behind-the-scenes look at the Upright Citizens Brigade’s signature long-form improv show and form, “ASSSSCAT.”

The long-running UCB ASSSSCAT show, which helps close out DCM and packs the theaters in New York City (and now Los Angeles, too) on a weekly basis, brings in guests (oftentimes celebrities) to tell monologues which the UCB then uses as inspiration for improvised scenes. This new UCB in-house documentary talks with Amy Poehler, Horatio Sanz, Chris Gethard, Bobby Moynihan, Zach Woods and more about the show, with clips from vintage performances dating back more than a decade, plus more recent shows featuring guest monologists Janeane Garofalo, Mike Birbiglia, Julie Klausner, Jon Hamm, and John Krasinski.

Bonus points for the viewer who can name all of the other UCB players seen and/or heard in this documentary.

Roll the clip!
