Just For Laughs livestreams from Chicago, announces award winners for Montreal

In case you’re missing it, TBS Just For Laughs Chicago began its weeklong run with shows earlier this week — but you don’t have to be in Chicago to enjoy and experience some of the laughs with your own eyes and ears.

The Dailymotion Comedy Showcases began last night and continue each night through Saturday, hosted by Andy Daly (HBO’s Eastbound & Down, the upcoming Review with Forest MacNeil for Comedy Central) at 7 p.m. Central.

The sets are live in person in Chicago, and live online via Dailymotion.

You can catch recaps from last night’s showcase featuring Brendon Walsh, Cameron Esposito, Sean Patton, Ever Mainard and Mike Lebovitz.

Or tune in tonight and throughout the week for live performances from Adam Burke, Johnny Pemberton, Jermaine Fowler, Michelle Buteau, Sam Simmons, Drew Frees, Renee Gauthier, Julian McCullough, Sean Flannery, Bridget Everett, Mike Stanley, Ben Kronberg, Baron Vaughn, Liza Treyger and Ben Roy.

And if you’re looking for more reasons to book your trip to Just For Laughs Montreal in late July, JFL has announced some more big names to attend the fest and take home big prizes.

Among them:

  • Amy Poehler, Comedy Person of the Year
  • Edgar Wright, Comedy Director of the Year
  • Mitch Hurwitz, Comedy Writer of the Year
  • Nick Kroll, Breakout Comedy Star of the Year

They’ll receive their honors at the Just For Laughs Awards Show, July 26, 2013, in Montreal during the festival’s ComedyPRO Conference, hosted by Jeff Ross.

The Montreal JFL Galas will be rounded out by nights starring Dane Cook and Jay Baruchel, respectively.

In addition, Chris Hardwick, John Mulaney also have been added to the festival’s already all-star lineup of performers performing in one-person shows, galas, showcases, podcasts and more.
