Dave Shirley’s audition for America’s Got Talent 2013

“I’m a comedian, but I don’t tell jokes.”

That’s what Dave Shirley told the judges of NBC’s America’s Got Talent at the start of his audition on last night’s episode.

So. What does he do? As a self-described “failed street performer,” this guy from Denver puts on a multimedia show that he calls VODDVILLE. Shirley, he can’t be serious. Yes. And please call him Dave. Or Mr. Shirley.

Roll the clip!

It helped, of course, that his audition included an impersonation of AGT judge Howard Stern. We only saw a brief glimpse of Shirley’s act last night. Stay tuned this summer to see what else he’s got up his sleeves and behind the curtain.
