Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s On First” 75 years later: The perfect comedy sketch?

It’s Opening Day for Major League Baseball, and also the 75th anniversary of Abbott and Costello’s classic baseball comedy sketch, “Who’s On First?”

ESPN’s Chris Connelly looked back at “Who’s On First” with help from Jimmy Fallon and Steve Higgins — who crafted an update to the sketch over the winter with help from Jerry Seinfeld and Billy Crystal for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon — and wondered if Abbott and Costello had written and performed “the perfect sketch.”

Roll the clip.

Wait. The perfect sketch?

Well, have they? Would you argue instead for Monty Python’s parrot sketch? Something else? Play ball!
