Stephen Tobolowsky: “My voice is my passport.” (2013)

Stephen Tobolowsky visited New York City this weekend to tell amazing stories from his life, sign copies of his book, The Dangerous Animals Club, and introduce a screening at the 92YTribeca of the 1993 film favorite, Groundhog Day.

Tobolowsky spoke with The Comic’s Comic about all that and much more (stay tuned for that!).

I also indulged “Tobo” into helping participate in the new new thing in apps, which is Vine video, by recreating one of his many other classic cinema moments — this one from the 1992 comic thriller, Sneakers, in which he co-starred with Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, Sir Ben Kingsley, Mary McDonnell, the late River Phoenix, David Strathairn and more.

My Vine skills notwithstanding, here’s an even easier way to enjoy a new spin on a classic movie quote, via YouTube. Roll the clip!

Buy Stephen Tobolowsky’s “The Dangerous Animals Club.” He said new episodes of his podcast (also rebroadcast later on PRI), “The Tobolowsky Files,” are forthcoming this year!
