Kevin Hart tells Conan about adding fireworks and fire to his live stand-up shows

Does your stand-up show include fireworks? How about fire? No? Kevin Hart’s shows do.

Then again, Hart tours arenas now — he sold out two dates at Madison Square Garden in November, for which he filmed his next stand-up concert film.

On last night’s episode of Conan, Hart explained to Conan O’Brien how his shows have become “very rock ‘n’ rollish.” “So what I did is, I went and got fire,” Hart said, after watching a concert with Jay-Z and Kanye West, and wanting what they had. “So throughout my show, I have a bunch of pointless fire,” he said. “It has nothing to do with my show. After a joke, people laugh, and I go, ‘Get fire.'”

“It’s not safe. It’s not safe at all,” he joked after watching a clip of it with Conan.

Hart also joked about filming his first sex scene, with Regina Hall, in an upcoming remake of About Last Night.

Roll the clip.
