Skinja: The movie that started out as a joke. Literally.

“Meet Skinja. She’s a stripper by night, ninja by later that night.” That’s a joke. Well, it started out as a joke in a longer bit of stand-up comedian┬áDan Goodman’s in which he imagines other movies. Only Skinja might actually become a real feature film. “After enough people came up to me, I decided to make it and ran a real successful Kickstarter campaign,” Goodman said. Michael Malone wins 2012 Seattle International Comedy Competition

Congratulations to Michael Malone, who edged out four other finalists and a couple of dozen other stand-up comedians to emerge victorious last night as winner of the 33rd annual Seattle International Comedy Competition. The final standings: Michael Malone (Los Angeles) Joe Klocek (San Francisco) Tyrone Hawkins (Tacoma) Landry (Atlanta/Toronto) Elliot Maxx (Seattle) Festival organizers said the final week’s judging scores of the four-week, 25-night competition was so close that any of the five stand-up comedians could have won it Sunday night.
