Comedy Headlines for 11/19/12

What’s happening in the comedy world now…

  • Lucille Bliss, the original voice of Elroy on The Jetsons and Smurfette on The Smurfs, died Nov. 8. She was 96. A memorial for Bliss will be held Tuesday at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
  • TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland will go live next summer for a “super-sized” special episode on June 19, 2013. The sitcom stars Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White, and continues its fourth season Nov. 28.
  • Amazon Studios is closing in on a pilot for animated sitcom Supa Natural, from writer David Javerbaum and 3 Arts Entertainment.
  • Seth MacFarlane was honored over the weekend at Variety’s Power of Comedy event.
