As not seen on TV: A documentary about Channel 101

There’s a new documentary about Channel 101 which premiered at the inaugural RIOT LA Alternative Comedy Festival earlier this month.

For those of you who need catching up, Dan Harmon (Community) and Rob Schrab (The Sarah Silverman Program) created Channel 101 in a time and land before webseries were a thing that every comedian did. Channel 101 begat a monthly screening series, in which audience members voted for their favorite programs to continue producing new episodes for the following month. This led to a brief run on TV with VH1’s Acceptable TV in 2007. The next live Ch. 101 screening in Los Angeles is set for Oct. 27, 2012.

In the meantime, you can learn all about Ch. 101 by setting aside 45 minutes and watching this: The Channel 101 Experience. Roll it!
