- Spike TV announced its all-star lineup to celebrate Eddie Murphy’s three decades as a comedy superstar. Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson, Tracy Morgan, Arsenio Hall, Brett Ratner, Charlie Murphy, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Martin Lawrence will participate in Eddie Murphy: One Night Only, which as The Comic’s Comic reported earlier, will tape on Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Saban Theatre in Los Angeles, and air on Spike on Wednesday, Nov. 14.
- MSG Entertainment and the Garden of Dreams Foundation will co-produce Garden of Laughs, a large-scale comedy benefit show, on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. Performers include Adam Ferrara, Darrell Hammond, Robert Klein, Ray Romano and Wanda Sykes, with more comedians to be announced. Rory Rosegarten is executive producing. Tickets, for $50-$125, go on sale Friday, Oct. 19, via Ticketmaster.
- Rob Riggle has signed with WME as his agency in all areas. Riggle continues to be managed by Principato-Young.
- 30 Rock co-executive producer Ron Weiner has two comedies in development with NBC. First is a workplace sitcom about co-workers in a “work marriage.” Second is an adaptation of the British comedy series, Whites. Weiner is repped by UTA and 3 Arts.
- Michael Bolton would play “Michael Bolton” in the potential ABC sitcom project, Michael Bolton’s Daughter is Destroying My Life. The series from Allison Miller (Go On) is based upon her celebrity encounters in her early experiences in Hollywood. Tami Sagher will write and executive produce. Bolton also would co-executive produce.
- Sound the Tumblr-to-TV trend alarms! NBC is taking a flier on F*ck I’m In My Twenties, based on the Tumblr of 24-year-old Emma Koenig. Koenig, repped by CAA, will co-write. She already had a book from this Tumblr come out in August.
