Harry Shearer releases new album, “Can’t Take A Hint”; first video: “Celebrity Booze Endorser”

As Tropical Storm Issac threatens to hit New Orleans as a hurricane on the seventh anniversary that Hurricane Katrina devastated the city and region, it’d be wise to note that resident/satirist/musician Harry Shearer has a film you should watch, The Big Uneasy.

Shearer — famous for his voice-work on The Simpsons, comedic acting in Saturday Night Live and films with Christopher Guest, videos for My Damn Channel, as well as performing with Guest and Michael McKean as Spinal Tap — also just happened to release a new CD today, “Can’t Take a Hint.”

The deluxe-edition version features a digital booklet and 14 tracks, with contributions from Dr. John, Jane Lynch, Jamie Cullen, Rob Brydon and others, including Fountains of Wayne — who perform with Shearer on the first track, “Celebrity Booze Endorser.”

Which has a music video already! Roll it!
