Preview highlights from the Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne #RoseanneRoast

Comedy Central taped its annual roast over the weekend — in 2012, the “target” or “victim” is Roseanne.

The Comedy Central Roast of Roseanne will air at 10 p.m. Eastern/Pacific on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, but the cable channel already has put up a few video highlights for you to enjoy online whenever you’d like to enjoy them.

As you could see, Tom Arnold showed up last-minute as a surprise guest roaster, approved only within 24 hours of the taping by Roseanne herself. Jane Lynch performed the Roastmaster duties (Seth MacFarlane had presided the past couple of years, while Jeffrey Ross — known as “The Roastmaster, and with his own Comedy Central special and series debuting later this month — remained elsewhere on the dais).

Let’s get to the clips!

Jane Lynch went topical early, sharing her thoughts as a lesbian on Chick Fil-A and its anti-gay philosophy. Wonder what she said, do you?

Jeffrey Ross dressed up as if he were the late Joe Paterno. Stay classy, Jeffrey!

Amy Schumer also went topical, this time with a thought about the Olympics gymnastics team.

And here’s Roseanne, addressing the Tom Arnold elephant in the room.

But wait! There’s more!

Here is Anthony Jeselnik, on the men who have gotten rich off of Roseanne.

Wayne Brady has a message for everyone who thinks they know him already.

And Seth Green has a comeback for Jeffrey Ross.

But wait.

There’s even more highlights, if you roll the clips now!

Carrie Fisher sat on the dais, which means, yep, you guessed it: Star Wars jokes.

Katey Segal has an opinion about how well Seth Green would fare as a father:

And what kind of Roast would it be without a word from Gilbert Gottfried?
