Cristela Alonzo’s late-night debut on Conan

Cristela Alonzo made her late-night TV debut last night on Conan. She does, however, already have other TV credits to her name, including Last Comic Standing, and stand-up showcases for Comedy Central and Showtime.

Alonzo explained in last night’s set that she realizes the things she can and cannot do because of her Mexican heritage. Even if her sister is vouching for her. Or things she cannot do because she grew up as a tomboy. Also, she wondered about the wonders of bad “reality” TV. Some of it is so amazingly bad, it’s fun; other shows, so amazing in their power to influence other people. Let Alonzo tell you.
