Gallagher hospitalized, in coma following second heart attack

Leo Anthony Gallagher Jr., known to audiences as the watermelon-smashing comedian Gallagher, suffered another heart attack on Wednesday and was placed in a medically-induced coma.

Gallagher’s manager told the Huffington Post that he was placed in the coma Thursday — following his heart attack on Wednesday night in Texas — and would be brought out of it after resting for at least 24 hours.

No other information was available.
