Seattle’s Adam Norwest wins CMT’s 2012 Next Big Comic contest

Adam Norwest, a Seattle comedian who began performing improv at the tender age of 13, has won CMT’s 2012 edition of its Next Big Comic contest.

The contest, held in partnership with Rooftop Comedy, relies solely on online voting. This year Norwest was competing with fellow finalists Andy Beningo, Dave Stone, Kelly Collette, Tim Wilkins, Felicia Gillespie, Chris Pennie, Shane Mauss, Lance Weiss, Andy Pitz, Tom Simmons and Steve Gillespie.
