Friars Club to honor Jerry Lewis on his 86th birthday with public celebration

Is The Friars Club getting soft? Nah.

Instead of doing a roast, the Friars has announced they’re going to be celebrating Jerry Lewis on his 86th birthday with a public party, tribute and screening at the 92nd Street Y in New York City.

When Lewis turns 86 on March 16, 2012, he’ll sit down at 92Y for a screening of scenes from the new documentary Method to the Madness of Jerry Lewis, a talk with friends — with audience Q&A — followed by an afterparty at the Friars Club.

Tickets to the 92Y Jerry Lewis event are $29.
