Watch Chris Gethard in a Target Christmas commercial, and pre-order his book

Last night whilst watching NBC’s Thursday-night comedy lineup, this holiday commercial for Target appeared and brought Chris Gethard into my home (and probably yours).

Roll it!

In related news, Gethard has a new memoir/autobiographical book of essays coming out in January 2012, titled A Bad Idea I’m About to Do: True Tales of Seriously Poor Judgment and Stunningly Awkward Adventures. Haven’t gotten my hands on a copy of the paperback yet, but I have heard Gethard tell several true-life stories during his past one-man shows at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre. And they live up to his book’s title. You can pre-order it already on Amazon. But will they sell it at Target? Do people buy books at Target? At any rate:

Also, each week Gethard hosts a bizarre TV show on Manhattan’s cable public access, but you can catch up with episodes of The Chris Gethard Show wherever you are via Blip.TV or iTunes.
