SiriusXM adds Upright Citizens Brigade shows to its Saturday night “live” schedule

SiriusXM radio’s Raw Dog Comedy Channel will get a little more upright on Saturday nights, as it adds a weekly hourlong live radio show from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.

The shows aren’t exactly live, but they will be recorded in front of the UCB’s usual live audiences in New York City and Los Angeles, then broadcast from 11 p.m. to midnight on Saturdays. Initial shows recorded for the new partnership: Totally J/K with Joe Mande and Noah Garfinkel, Waiting for Obama: A Night at the Hall of Presidents, and The Roast of Justin Bieber. You’ll feel like you’re right there. Except you won’t see a thing. That’s how radio works. Even on satellite.

UCB co-founder Amy Poehler weighed in with a statement for the occassion: “This is just one step in our secret evil plan to take over the world! Oops. We were always told we had a face for radio. We just never knew it would be satellite.”
