No fooling: Actual TV news involving comedians

Comedians were in the news this week in several different TV announcements.

To wit:

  • Andrew "Dice" Clay has a recurring role in the final season of HBO's Entourage.
  • After last night's premiere of Mobbed, FOX ordered eight additional episodes of Howie Mandel's latest TV surprise show.
  • Speaking of surprises, Betty White is getting her own gotcha series on NBC.
  • And for the kids, Jeff Dye is getting his own gotcha series on MTV called Numbnuts. Or is he hosting a game show called Money From Strangers? Either way, he'll be on your MTV soon.
  • So will Jon Gabrus, who'll host an MTV game show called The Substitute, which takes the idea of Cash Cab and sets it in school classrooms.
