Bruno Mars books musical date on SNL, gets booked for felony cocaine. Now SNL fans really get nostalgic.

Which really came first, though? Las Vegas police confirmed Sunday that officers arrested singer Bruno Mars after Hard Rock hotel/casino security found him in possession with cocaine. NBC confirmed Monday that Bruno Mars would be the musical guest on SNL on Oct. 9, paired with host Jane Lynch. Fans of SNL who long for the original wild and crazy days of the 1970s must be feeling extra nostalgic, eh? Although to be thematically more accurate, wouldn't it be better to have the singer on cocaine performing on the show with the award-winning actor who plays a meth dealer (Bryan Cranston, hosting Oct. 2, with Kanye West)? It's always about timing.
