Comedians Patrick Borelli and Jon Benjamin caught wind of a Web campaign at the end of 2009 to "Restore Stephen Baldwin," as in the actor whose good Baldwin name somehow mattered no more in Hollywood once he became a born again Christian. But in finding that, Borelli and Benjamin found another Stephen Baldwin right under their noses in Brooklyn — Stephen C. Baldwin — who not only helps rescue Brooklyn's wild parrots but also performs in a Beatles cover band called The Meetles.
So why not save this Stephen C. Baldwin, too?
That's what Borelli and Benjamin are doing, in a sense, with the Benefit for Stephen Baldwin* tonight at The Bell House.
Benjamin and Borelli will host, with performances from, among others: Eugene Mirman, Kristen Schaal, Kurt Braunohler, Jon Glaser, David Rees, surprise guests, a video from Gabe Delahaye and Max Silvestri, music from The Meetles, cake from Community Baking Co., and more. Tickets are $15.
