by Your short comedy film could earn you a cash prize in a new monthly contest at Carolines comedy club called Burnt Toast: Comics With Cameras. Judges will pick the top 10 submissions to show live at the club, and then judges plus the audience will reward the best of those 10 with a cash prize plus a chance to defend the title the following month. The first deadline is Monday, April 20 — and first showcase hosted April 29 by animator Bill Plympton.
Details: Videos should run between two to five minutes. You can upload up to three submissions per month, directing the club to the submissions by emailing videos@carolines.com or sending them on a DVD to Carolines on Broadway, 1626 Broadway, New York, NY, 10019.
