Alicia Levy’s “Red Carpet Ride”

A disco-dancing mermaid. Kim Kardashian. An Eastern European who wants to join the Pussycat Dolls. Victoria "Posh" Beckham. Macy Gray. These are a few of Alicia Levy's favorite characters to play in her delightful half-hour "Red Carpet Ride," playing Thursdays this month at The PIT (People's Improv Theater). Levy displays an obvious love of both physical comedy and celebrity satire, combining them to manic effect through many uptempo routines and costume changes, and plenty of song and dance. She also offers a couple of videos for the audience, which I shan't spoil here. And YouTube has removed the audio portion of this promo clip, which makes for even more of a tease, don't you think?
