Ricky Gervais in NYC to promote HBO special

Ricky Gervais is in New York City this week to promote his upcoming first HBO special, Out of England: The Stand-Up Special, which debuts Nov. 15.

Among the known things on his schedule: Gervais will present the Top Ten tonight on the Late Show with David Letterman; he joins the New York Comedy Festival’s fund-raiser "Stand-Up for Heroes," on Wednesday at Town Hall; he’ll be presenting a preview of his HBO special and taking questions from the audience in a special panel with The Paley Center For Media on Thursday; and Friday he sits in on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. If you make it into the audience for the Paley Center panel/preview, you might want to read HBO’s own interview with Gervais first before asking your question.

Updated: Gervais also recorded an episode of Bravo’s Inside the Actors Studio on Sunday night.
