The Creek and The Cave: Full-time comedy in May

As people bemoan the evolution of the East Village and Lower East and wonder, where can independent-minded comedians and comedy fans congregate, have you considered Long Island City? Of course you haven’t. But several comedians are making a go of it at The Creek and The Cave, which already had a weekly comedy night on Wednesdays (Kingdom of Heaven hosted by Timmy Williams and John F. O’Donnell), will expand to Tuesdays-Saturdays in May at 10-93 Jackson Avenue (in between the 7 and the G, and on the B61 route). The co-conspirators are pictured here by Matt Ruby. And here is the proposed schedule…

Tuesdays: The Jerk Practice Presents Evenings With Tuesday
8 p.m. (free) Hans Freiwald, Casey van Heel, Justin Lang, Mitch Rose and Henning
Koczy perform conceptual sketch comedy. Sean Patton hosts with
special guests and new videos.

Wednesdays: The Kingdom of Heaven
8 p.m. (free) John F. O’Donnell and Timmy Williams (The Whitest Kids U’ Know) present up-and-coming stand-ups.

the world.

we’re all friends here.
Jiwon Lee’s Trivial Comedy
